CONNIE ARMIJO-PRESIDENT & CEO
Connie Armijo is the iconic owner and leader of Beverly Hills based Connie & Co. Events Management Company. In today's fast-paced modern culture, entertaining with grace and style has become a lost art. Connie is recognized for bringing those timeless elements and exquisite details to every event that she touches with seamless perfection! Her spectacular food combined with a highly creative presentation is this "Food Impresaria's" trademark. Her signature dishes are enlightened takes on classics such as square deviled eggs, or an hors d'oeuvres paring such as spicy tuna tartar with a watermelon sake, which are return requests for every event.
Connie's venerable career in the catering and event business spans more than 30 years touting a variety of impressive accomplishments; Owner in Park Plaza Hotel and Events, Great Presentations, and Vice President of Special Events for SRC Event Group.
MELISSA CARTER-VICE PRESIDENT, EVENT PRODUCTION & SALES
As Vice President of Event Production and Sales at Connie and Co. Melissa is a tour de force in the events world with over 10 years of experience in event coordination, fundraising, brand and marketing management, public relations, strategic partnership building, negotiation and sales leadership within the corporate and non profit sector.
Melissa's ability to truly understand clients’ needs and implement creative strategies to actualize those requests has earned her a reputation as one of the most highly regarded sales and events producers in Southern California. Aided by her years of experience in writing effective marketing strategies to promote and produce events, including: on-air production and promotion, press releases, website splash pages, E-newsletter banners, social media strategies and print ads for publications such as the Los Angeles Times, Orange Coast Magazine, and Parenting OC and LA Parent.
Melissa spearheads initiatives by listening and working closely with clients, board members, sales teams, vendors, and venues. Her intuitive ability to prepare and execute successful events stem from her comprehensive experience, relational intelligence, and her born calling to entertain.
One such recent milestone designed and catered by Connie and Co. Events, was the 2014 annual gala for the greater Los Angeles primary PBS station, PBS SoCaL. The “Puttin’ on the Glitz” gala with Melissa’s leadership helped to raise over one million dollars.
